I get nasty notes these days about not putting up enough pictures...of the Minute Man. Here are enough to fill a weeks' worth of pictures. Look at them one at a time, one each day (and two on sunday)!!

As for how we are doing; MM is doing great, T is doing amazing. I'm worn out, irritable, and exhausted. But no one likes a whiner. So I mostly try to keep it to myself.

On a positive personal note, I have been taking golf lessons and really enjoying them. It isn't easy to find time to go to lessons, much less to practice but I've been doing pretty good. Since my course is open now (wowy-wow-wow!) it is easy to get there - it's a mere 7 minutes away!

Heart surgery - Take 2 - DONE and done!

Folks, a brief update for those of you following. I won't draw this out either; things went great. All in all, everything went better than we expected or even hoped. The doc felt really good about this repair, and was very positive about "the final product". TG.
Surgery began about 8 this a.m., and ran until about 3:30. A little longer than we had though b/c there was a lot of bleeding that needed to be taken care of before they were comfortable "closing him up".
Currently, T is doing well in ICU and states that he hates the breathing tube, and feels better than he did at this stage last time.
I'm exhausted. I've been up since 4:30 a.m. and naturally got no sleep today. It's now 9:00, but I needed some "office time", so I'm at the office for a breather, and a little work to help me feel relaxed.
I plan to go back to the hospital to see T early tomorrow a.m., and then he should be moved to his own room - at that point he will have email and FB access, once he feels up to it, so any notes y'all want to send him, please do. He'll have nothing to do but answer them!!

Ok, enough for now. I need to get some work done before I fall asleep on my keyboard. Thanks for the good thoughts, prayers, voicemails, and texts. Y'all are great.

More from the Salad Ninja

Minute is working on being a super hero. this is just one of his permutations "The Salad ninja". The biggest problem I see with this super hero is the outfit. He dons his glasses, his salad tongs, and well, his birthday suit. Perhaps if he added a cape it would be okay?

All in all, we had a blast, and it was wonderful re-connecting with old friends and family. MM even did well on the drive (a LONG 7.5 hours one way!!), and I don't get too stressed out (really, I didn't!!). The visit was definitely too short.

MM had his second birthday yesterday. We didn't do anything really special yesterday, as we had just gotten back from the Farm for a HUGE birthday Bash. I took almost 300 pictures, and will sort through them and post a few soon.
